In order to meet your varied budget and product volume requirements, Duel uses Branson welders. The system comes complete with all the components you need to start welding your enclosures.

Welding Services
We offer in-house welding services for all of our package configurations. Welding lead times are 1-3 days for quantities under 1K. Our weld technicians are trained to set-up, operate, and troubleshoot the ultrasonic welder ensuring the highest level of quality. We will weld up to 10K packages/month per customer.
How to Ultrasonically Weld
Sonic welders briefly apply high frequency vibrations and precisely directed pressure in order to melt and bond two pieces together. The process of sonic welding is easily controlled, so you always have a quick, clean, and solid bond. After leveling the base and programming just three easy settings, anyone can weld PCMCIA packages and achieve repeatable, reliable results. Duel offers an operator’s manual and easy to follow set-up video to quickly guide customers through initial assembly.
After you have all of the required accessories, initial set-up takes less than forty-five minutes. Once you program the welder for a particular product, no further adjustments are necessary.
Every sonic welder requires a horn and fixture in order to weld. Weld fixtures include an easy to level base plate and an insert. Duel offers inserts and horns for all of our standard products as well as custom set-ups for your specific application.
Once you place the enclosure in the fixture, you press the trigger buttons causing the horn to lower over the part. The horn transfers energy to the edges of the part and then automatically rises when the weld cycle is complete. Simply use the eject button to aid in the card release and you are ready to weld the next card. The entire process takes less than 10 seconds using a loaded part.
Rework Tools
Package Rework Tools allow you to open your sonically-welded products without damaging the PC board or the expensive components on the PC board. Simply insert the package into the slot and slide the handle forward. The Rework Tool separates the top and bottom cover quickly and easily. Once you open the package, you cannot reuse the case, which ensures the integrity of your warranty.
